On-/Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tires are for drivers who want a combination of customary on-road capacity, enhanced off-road capabilities and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. On-/Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tires branded with the M+S symbol are sometimes used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on light and medium-duty 4WD truck, pickup and sport utility vehicles. O.E. On-/Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle’s original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires’ performance category and specifications.

MY reaction so far to the Hankook tires is very favourable. I was very concerned when I took deliver of my new 2007 4x4 Ford F150, shod with Hankook tires. I had never heard of the tire manufacturer before. However, I am pleasantly surprised with the tires performance. They do all the important things like accelerating, stopping, cornering in both dry and wet conditions - better than I expected. They also give a surprisingly good ride and are commendably quiet. I actually prefer the Hankooks to the Michelins on my previous F150. I hasten to add that the distance driven so far in the new truck is relatively short so some may question my objectivity. I dont. I will more than likely fit dedicated winter tires from December, principally because of the potential for very severe winter conditions here in Canada. As an aside I would do so anyway no matter which brand of all-season tire that came with the truck. Nevertheless the Hankooks will be back on early in the Spring. While I respect the views of previous submissions on this site I think the Hankook has, at least in one submission, had a raw deal. Doesnt sound anything like the tires I am driving on! I should add that, I also use Michelin Exalto AS tires on an Audi A6 and Toyo Proxes on a Merc CLK430. Both sets of tires are excellent for the purpose for which they are intended - that is spirited driving. I guess I feel the same about the Hankooks on the F150, because it is driven like a truck. So if you see Hankook tires on your new truck do not be alarmed because you might be very pleasantly surprised!
