Tire Description

The Optimo H418 is one of Hankook's Grand Touring All-Season tires developed for Original Equipment (O.E.) use on sedans, minivans and crossover vehicles. The Optimo H418 is designed to provide sporty looks, predictable handling and year-round traction, even in light snow. The Optimo H418 features an all-season compound molded into a symmetric, independent block tread design (featuring either two or three circumferential grooves) to provide traction on dry, wet and light snow-covered roads. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts (reinforced by a nylon cap ply in selected higher speed rated sizes) to stabilize the tread area and a polyester cord body to help cushion the ride.

My tires are OEM on a 2007 Kia Sportage with 4-whl ABS, ESC, and traction control. Wear, ride, noise, and lateral stability is excellent when driving in city and highway conditions in all types of weather. My tires are still handling the way they are supposed to for the miles driven. These tires will definitely wear as described. The only problem with this tire: not available from new-tire dealers in the Los Angeles metro area anymore.
