The Ventus V4 ES H105 is Hankook's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sports coupes and performance sedans. The Ventus V4 ES is designed to combine cutting-edge appearance with predictable handling, traction and control on dry and wet roads, as well as in occasional light snow. The Ventus V4 ES molds an ultra high performance all-season tread compound into a directional design featuring a continuous center rib flanked by stable independent intermediate and shoulder tread blocks to enhance dry traction. Wide circumferential main grooves and multiple lateral side slots create waterways that aid water drainage to minimize hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. Sipes in each tread block increase the number of biting edges to reinforce winter traction without abandoning wet and dry handling. Hankook's Controlled Footprint Shape profile uses the tire's internal structure of twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to promote predictable handling and uniform wear.

My Infiniti has inherently been plagued with premature tire wear issues. This is a common issue with all 03-07 G35 Coupes. The 350Z has similar issues. The front tires will feather on the inside fronts and the rears wear prematurely on the middle treads. I purchased 2 Hankook tires for the rear of my Coupe primarily because of the great price and good reviews from my Infiniti Dealer. In addition they have a very high tread wear rating. I've only put on 2,000 miles, but they are extremely quiet, handle fairly well for an all season tire, and stick to the road. I have not gotten more than 12,000 miles out of the rears of my tires in the past. I have had Goodyear RSAs (which I still have on the fronts) and Avon 550 A/S and both wore out very fast. So far so good, and I will report back when I put additional miles on the car. For the price, how can I go wrong? They are not a very well known tire, but if you do research, you will only hear good things about this tire. I would recommend it to other G35 owners as an alternative to the Kumhos and Falkens that many drivers turn to. I believe this to be a superior tire.
