The HTR H4 High Performance All-Season Radial combines Sumitomo's high tech radial materials and manufacturing methods to meet the year-round driving needs of sports car, coupe and sedan drivers. The HTR H4 is designed to blend dry and wet road performance with light snow and slush traction. The Sumitomo HTR H4's advanced all-season silica compound is molded into a symmetric tread pattern that features stabilized independent shoulder blocks with intermediate tread blocks to enhance dry cornering and stability, while three wide circumferential and long parabolic curved grooves combine to enhance wet traction and reduce the risk of hydroplaning. The HTR H4's curvilinear siping adds strategically located biting edges in the tread pattern to increase light snow traction. Internally, the HTR H4 radial's twin steel belts are reinforced by Sumitomo's Jointless Nylon Band (JNB) technology which uses spirally wound reinforcement to provide long term integrity under high speed conditions while it reduces weight and helps provide more uniform ride quality.

I only have about 1K on these so far but what a difference over the stock Michelin Primacy MXV4's. They ride better, they're quieter, they handle better in dry and wet and no more hydroplaning and power sliding in wet. These tires just bite and hold on. Day and night compared to the stock Michelin's. I can't say anything about snow and ice yet, but from the difference in dry and wet weather they should be much better than the Michelins. And a heck of a lot cheaper. The Michelins were rated for 60K miles and only lasted 40K, even with regular rotation and checking tire pressure every week. So I am hoping these Sumi's last 30-35k, I know they are rated for 50K miles but you never get that on real roads, only in R&D labs. So far I'm very happy with them and definitely would buy them again. If your thinking about buying the Michelin Primacy MXV4's, save your money and get these Sumitomo HTR H4's, they are exactly half the price and twice as nice.
